So I went my bf and my brother to the touristy area of Seattle today and ended up in the nicest little thrift shop near Pike’s Place…when my bf shows me THIS:
All this, for two dollars…..but the miracle doesnt end THERE.
YES! An additional surprise inside the bag…
But wait…..
OMG! The perfect match for that annoying lotus flower bag!
Thank you Santa Claus! And anonymous Seattle crocheter!

I just finished a baby giraffe from the Giraffe Amigurmi pattern at ravelry by Anja Molina.
When I had to assemble it I got really lazy so I hot glued everything together.
I might go back and stitch them in place later on.
Also, she has little bows on her horns and her little tail!
She’s already out and about in my apartment!
1) Hey! It’s snowing on my blog!….but only until Jan 4, boo.
2) It’s fracking cold in Seattle. 16F in Redmond this morning. What. the. hell.
3)I’ve invaded my dahling’s office while my office gets changed. I get to stare at this….
4) I finished an amigurumi giraffe….but Im postponing the assembling. Oh, and I forgot the spots. Yay.
5) Work Christmas parties this weekend! Woo!

I finished 6 of these leaves in one sitting! Yay! Now they’re all done.
I’ve begun the final web of the bag and it looks messy messy.

I went back to my abandoned lotus flower bag. I reviewed the pattern and realized that I had missed the entire bottom layer of the rose! So I frogged some of what I had done and managed to complete the center flower (called “Center Rose” in the pattern adjustment made by CrochetNut).
Here are some pictures that I hope help anyone trying to make this monster of a project:
After I took this picture I realized that the color I am using isnt the best for showcasing the different layers of the flower.

I put the hook under the middle layer so you can see it more clearly.
Weird photo, I know. But I wanted to show the different layers from the side. It’s actually upside down and Im holding the smaller layer that goes on top.

I like this angle and the light…it looks like an innocent little project.
Lastly, I managed to begin one of the leaves for the flower. There’s 10 of these in total and this one took FOREVER.
It’s been a really frustrating project and Im pretty sure I picked a bad combo of hook and thread but I really want to finish this project. So the adventure continues!
I had two special guests today at my apartment, so I wanted to cook something for them (instead of going to “Red Robin…Yummm” like we do on most weekends
)
I had no idea what to cook but I found this neat site called RecipeMatcher that does a really good job in helping you find a recipe depending on what you have in your home. I had seen this feature in other sites but this site has user submitted recipes and it tells you (without clicking the recipe link) what other ingredients you’re missing.
For tonight’s meal I made :
White Rice
Success! They ate it all and it was yummy!
After we ate I did a really simple Cat Tounge cookie recipe:
…..aaaand, they dont look like Cat Tounges at all…..but they were delicious!
Root canal scarf is coming along nicely…..I would stop here becuase it makes a cute little scarf, but I’d rather just finish off this yarn and have a longer scarf.
Still some yarn left as you can see…
And this…..this thing…..I will finish you Lotus Flower Bag! GRAAAAAAAAH!
If I ever finish that bag I will use it until it falls apart….
Some months ago I dropped my pretty little phone in a Seattle sewer. I’ve been pretty busy and havent had time to explore this new phone but I keep finding new features. Maybe not the best, maybe not the most important, but interesting nonetheless.
….because we’ve all wanted to dress up as a high Bunny with vision problems…
I cannot even explain how much this creeps me out…
I liked playing around with this one…Here fishy fishy. Nom nom nom.
